| Is this service really free? |
|

Completely. Having an account and a banner on Macrank is completely free. You can support Macrank by clicking on any advertisements displayed on the website. Edward tells me: your hosting for portals

| How are sites ranked? |
|
|
Sites are ranked or sorted with the following priorities:
- Average rating
- Total hits in
- Current hits in
- Current hits out
- Site activity / inactivity
This sort order may change from time to time to best reflect the most popular and highly regarded websites.

| How often are the rankings, hits and statistics updated? |
|
|
A rerank is performed at a minimum of every hour. Reranks may be performed more often to suit traffic load trends.

| Can Macrank remove my account? |
|
|
Yes. Although we do not intend on doing so, we reserve the right to remove an account for whatever reason, without notice. Normally this would be for cheating or abusing the system.

| My account has been hacked. |
|
|
In the unlikely event that someone has guessed your password and changed your account information (in particular the link) please contact us. A log is kept of all activity, and we can take measures against a hacker. You should choose passwords which are difficult to guess, and update them periodically.
